A brief history of SSN

Throughout the years SSN has become a specialist when it comes to salvaging and recycling ships, barges, platforms and other large objects. Back in the nineties SSN decided to team up with HKS Metals so they could adapt to the fast changing regulations with regard to salvaging and recycling ships.

From day one SSN has maintained a high standard when it came to following these regulations and has made it its most valued policy. This is the only way to outperform the competition. This extra effort resulted in a few extraordinary salvaging missions which were brought to ’s-Gravendeel.  SSN has now successfully recycled more than 3000 ships and other objects in the last 25 years.

Together with sister company HAPO they salvaged a few enormous ships, like the Norwegian cargo ship Tricolor in 2002, the Rokia Delmas in 2006, the MSC Napoli in 2007 and the MSC Nikita in 2009. This extensive field experience has contributed to SSN becoming a strong and reliable specialist when it comes to demolishing and recycling ships, barges and other large objects.
